Pero atenci\u00f3n: aunque el dibujo todav\u00eda sea suficiente, no se pueden usar indefinidamente. \u00bfCu\u00e1l es, entonces, la vida \u00fatil de los neum\u00e1ticos de moto? \u00bfCu\u00e1ndo se alcanza realmente el l\u00edmite de desgaste? En este art\u00edculo encontrar\u00e1s todo lo que necesitas saber sobre la duraci\u00f3n de los neum\u00e1ticos y la edad m\u00e1xima permitida para pasar la inspecci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es la vida \u00fatil de los neum\u00e1ticos de moto?<\/h2>\n<p>En realidad, la legislaci\u00f3n no establece una edad m\u00e1xima para los neum\u00e1ticos de moto. Sin embargo, usarlos sin l\u00edmite requiere precauci\u00f3n. Los neum\u00e1ticos de moto est\u00e1n fabricados con una mezcla de caucho especial, dise\u00f1ada para ofrecer propiedades concretas, como una buena adherencia y un buen comportamiento en caso de aquaplaning.<\/p>\n<p>Con el tiempo, esta mezcla se deteriora. Como resultado, en situaciones peligrosas ya no se puede confiar plenamente en los neum\u00e1ticos. Por eso, se recomienda cambiar los neum\u00e1ticos de moto como m\u00e1ximo cada diez a\u00f1os, incluso si parecen estar en buen estado.<\/p>\n<h2>Almacenamiento de neum\u00e1ticos de moto<\/h2>\n<p>Guardar correctamente los neum\u00e1ticos de tu moto es clave para mantener su durabilidad y rendimiento. Aqu\u00ed algunos consejos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lugar oscuro<\/strong>: los rayos UV y la luz solar directa pueden da\u00f1ar el caucho y debilitarlo prematuramente. Guarda los neum\u00e1ticos en un sitio oscuro o utiliza fundas especiales.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ambiente fresco<\/strong>: las temperaturas extremas afectan la calidad del caucho. Un lugar fresco y con temperatura estable, como un s\u00f3tano o un garaje, es ideal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mantenerlos secos<\/strong>: la humedad puede afectar los refuerzos de acero de los neum\u00e1ticos y provocar \u00f3xido. Aseg\u00farate de que el lugar est\u00e9 bien ventilado y seco.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Colocaci\u00f3n correcta<\/strong>: si almacenas los neum\u00e1ticos sin llanta, ap\u00edlalos horizontalmente. Si est\u00e1n montados en la llanta, es mejor colgarlos o, si no es posible, colocarlos planos y girarlos regularmente para evitar puntos de presi\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Limpieza previa<\/strong>: antes de guardar los neum\u00e1ticos, l\u00edmpialos bien de suciedad, aceite y otros residuos, evitando as\u00ed reacciones qu\u00edmicas que puedan da\u00f1arlos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Presi\u00f3n de inflado<\/strong>: si se almacenan por mucho tiempo, conviene inflarlos ligeramente para que conserven su forma.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Edad de los neum\u00e1ticos de moto para la inspecci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica<\/h2>\n<p>En la inspecci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica, al inspector no le importa tanto la edad de los neum\u00e1ticos, sino su estado. Tu moto puede pasar la ITV con neum\u00e1ticos de diez a\u00f1os, pero tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda no superarla con neum\u00e1ticos de cinco a\u00f1os si est\u00e1n da\u00f1ados o si la mezcla de caucho ha perdido sus propiedades. Un criterio clave es, por supuesto, el dibujo del neum\u00e1tico. Si la profundidad del mismo es inferior al m\u00ednimo legal de 1,6 mm, normalmente el veh\u00edculo no superar\u00e1 la inspecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<div class=\"product-slider\" es hora de cambiar tus neum\u00e1ticos de moto, presta atenci\u00f3n a estas se\u00f1ales que indican que la calidad ha disminuido:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Da\u00f1os visibles<\/strong>: si el neum\u00e1tico presenta grietas, agujeros o se ve la estructura en algunos puntos, es necesario reemplazarlo.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Profundidad del dibujo<\/strong>: legalmente, el cambio solo es obligatorio cuando queda menos de 1,6 mm, pero los expertos recomiendan cambiar los neum\u00e1ticos a partir de 4 mm, ya que la adherencia en mojado disminuye significativamente por debajo de ese l\u00edmite.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Caucho<\/strong>: si el caucho se endurece, se vuelve quebradizo, se agrieta, se decolora o la superficie se vuelve demasiado lisa o brillante, los neum\u00e1ticos est\u00e1n demasiado viejos y deben reemplazarse.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cambios en el comportamiento en carretera<\/strong>: si notas que la moto se comporta de forma distinta, puede ser se\u00f1al de que los neum\u00e1ticos han llegado al final de su vida \u00fatil. Esto ocurre, por ejemplo, cuando la adherencia en mojado disminuye, la conducci\u00f3n se siente inestable o resbaladiza, o el confort y la absorci\u00f3n de impactos se ven afectados.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>C\u00f3mo saber la edad de tus neum\u00e1ticos de moto<\/h2>\n<p>Si tus neum\u00e1ticos de moto ya tienen algunos a\u00f1os, puede que no recuerdes la fecha exacta de compra. Adem\u00e1s, esta fecha no siempre coincide con la de fabricaci\u00f3n. La edad real de los neum\u00e1ticos se indica mediante el n\u00famero DOT, que aparece en el lateral del neum\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>El n\u00famero DOT consta de tres series de cuatro letras y n\u00fameros. La \u00faltima de estas series indica la semana y el a\u00f1o de fabricaci\u00f3n. Por ejemplo, si aparece \u00ab1523\u00bb, significa que el neum\u00e1tico se produjo en la 15.\u00aa semana del a\u00f1o 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Vale la pena comprobar este n\u00famero incluso si compraste los neum\u00e1ticos hace solo dos o tres a\u00f1os. Los distribuidores pueden vender neum\u00e1ticos de hasta tres a\u00f1os como \u00abnuevos de f\u00e1brica\u00bb, y algunos, aunque se etiqueten como \u00abnuevos\u00bb, pueden tener hasta cinco a\u00f1os.
